Anatole Toukam


Anatole Toukam, Global Project Director, Mr. Toukam is currently the Global Project Director for African Hope Committee, where heoversees the United Nations partnerships and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Originally from Cameroon, Anatole Toukam is a Certified Project Manager (CAPM®) and a social entrepreneur, passionate with international development, rule of law and sustainable development. He believes “change comes from within and not necessarily from outside. There is nothing a human being can’t achieve if he/her wants it badly enough”.

In August 2015, Mr. Toukam was appointed to the Board of Newark African Commission (NAC) by the Mayor of the City Newark Honorable RAS J. BARAKA, where he served as the Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Toukam is the CEO of African Consulting Group International and a District Leader at Primerica Financial Services.

He graduated with a Master of Arts in Diplomacy, specialized in International Organization, Global Health and Human Security from the School of Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University, New Jersey, USA. While pursuing his Master’s degree, he also obtained a Post-BA Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Montclair State University (MSU) in New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Dschang, Cameroon, with a Master of Law and a Bachelor degree in Law and Political science.

His experience spans both internationally and domestically, including working for the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO), Office of Operations, Africa Division 1 supporting the Sudan and South Sudan peacekeeping missions, and the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) office at the UNHQ, New York. Prior to joining the UN system, He worked on the Immigrants’ Rights Program at American Friends Service Committee (AFSC).

As a community organizer, He is the co-founder and former president of Cameroonian Friends Association-USA, Inc., a community-based organization striving to promote the spirit of togetherness and to facilitate the social integration of Cameroonian immigrants. He is a member of Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX) the Paralegal National Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
